Who is responsible?

Purpose and legal basis
We use your information to understand and respond to your needs, prepare a summary and arrange a conversation or proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract. Internal request management and founder notifications rely on LAOTOP’s legitimate interest in organising its responses. You are not subscribed to a newsletter.
Information collected
The form collects your name, contact details, company, message and any availability you provide. A name, message and one contact method are required to respond; other fields are optional. Without contact details we cannot call or email you.
The assistant processes your messages and any project context, tools, difficulties, deadlines, budget and stakeholders you share. A session identifier links the request and summary. Contact details are optional in the conversation. Please do not enter passwords, sensitive data or confidential third-party information.
AI and recipients
When the AI is available, the conversation history is sent to the OpenAI API to produce a response and extract relevant information. If unavailable, a simplified assistant runs in your browser. The direct contact form does not send your message to OpenAI.
Detecting contact details in the chat does not send emails or SMS. You review the summary, recipients and any SMS excerpt, then explicitly confirm. After confirmation, contact details and the summary may be stored in the website database hosted by OVHcloud. Emails use the server’s configured mail service (OVHcloud, or hosting mail as a fallback), with a copy to the founder through Gmail (Google). Free Mobile delivers SMS alerts to the founder. If an email address is provided, it receives the approved summary. The contact form also includes a confirmation step.
OpenAI and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area depending on their services and contracts. Their terms provide applicable transfer mechanisms; contact LAOTOP for details of the safeguards used. AI suggestions are indicative. No contractual decision is made automatically; an internal completeness indicator assists follow-up without deciding access to the service.
Retention
Unconverted enquiries are retained for 12 months after the last exchange in the prospect database and email/SMS copies. Information required for a contract or legal obligation is kept separately for the applicable period. Full conversations remain in browser memory until closure or reset; only information approved for sending enters LAOTOP follow-up. Prepared previews are temporarily held in a technical server session, can be confirmed for 20 minutes and are removed when that session is cleaned up; preview expiry does not guarantee immediate physical deletion.
The application asks OpenAI not to retain the response as application state (store: false). This does not remove provider security logs: OpenAI documents default retention of up to 30 days, subject to applicable settings and exceptions. OpenAI data controls.
Cookies and browser storage
The site remembers your cookie preference in browser local storage. An HttpOnly, SameSite technical session cookie supports preview confirmation and prevents duplicate sends. No advertising or analytics tool is installed. Reopen “Manage cookies” at the bottom of the site or clear browser storage to change it. This preference does not control the processing of your contact request.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, and portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation.
